A) What is ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) test ( Content for drug testing in general )
The Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) Test is commonly used to detect ethyl Glucuronide in the urine, a breakdown product of ethanol, the intoxicating component in alcohol. It can also detect EtG in your blood, hair, and nails, albeit the urine test is the most common. The basic goal of an EtG test is to prove that you haven't consumed any alcohol.
It's worth noting that the EtG test isn't recommended for use in workplace testing programmes because it doesn't assess current alcohol impairment.
B) Self Drug Testing ( Content for personal use on self-drug testing )
Self- Drug Testing too is another way to get tested. They are qualitative tests. You can detect if a drug is present in the urine, but not how much of it is. The part of the test that you do at home is very sensitive to the presence of drugs in your urine. This means that if drugs are present, a preliminary (or presumptive) positive test result is frequently obtained. If the preliminary result is positive, you should send the urine sample to the lab for a second test.
